Hinckley Point C project - 
The role is based in client offices in Bristol 5 days a week.

The contract is for an initial 12 month period that has an imminent start and a target limited company rate to man of circa £26.00 per hour.

The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment


Job Description

Accountabilities:
? Responsible for proactively expediting the timely submission of contractor documentation, on-time or ahead of the contractually agreed timescales.
? Provide oversight on the progress of documentation through the submission, review and approval process.
? To keep sufficient records of progress, supplier performance and associated delays and make recommendations of recovery methods to project team where necessary.
? Create, manage and distribute detailed document expediting reports.
? Escalate to the Project Manager and Expediting Supervisor any actual or potential problems or bottlenecks which would adversely affect submission or review of documentation; whether affected by internal or external parties.
? Working with the contractor and other parties in the design and implementation of recovery plans to benefit completion and delivery of documentation.
? Facilitate both document expediting and comment resolution meetings.
? Liaise with Project Manager and wider multi-discipline team on a regular basis.
? Help establish document priorities with support from and in agreement with the Project Manager and wider multidisciplinary team.
? Use of existing tools and systems.
? Awareness of wider project schedule requirements for contract scope (such as Site Need Dates).
? To conform with existing HPC procedures, compliance & ethics relating to the phase of work.
This is not an exhaustive list, the Document Expeditor may, on occasion, also be asked by NNB’s senior management team to perform related tasks which are not detailed above.

Deliverables / Expected Output:
? Attendance of Kick off Meetings (KOM) when required.
? Proactive follow up of contractual document submissions for assigned contracts through the review and approval process.
? Report regularly and accurately on document status to project manager, expediting supervisors and contractors.
? Opportunities for visits to supplier premises alongside the multi-disciplinary teams / supply chain will be given.
Note – Please note that NNB Expediting representatives have no remit to formally instruct the supplier in terms of either quality or technical compliance. This must happen via the contract communications tools (via PM or delegate).

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
? Previous experience working as part of an EPR or large scale international energy project.
? Knowledge of the supplier documentation submittal and review process.
? Document control experience preferable.
? Demonstrable track record of collaborative working within successful project teams.
? A working knowledge of document management systems.
? Advanced level use of MS Excel and general IT.
? Demonstrable track record of collaborative working within successful project teams.
? Relevant College/University education degree, or suitable experience.
Key competencies:
? Expeditors must be fluent in English.
? Self motivated and able to work remotely without excessive instruction from the project team.
? Capability to integrate within the Project organisation and the ability to solve issues or propose solutions.
? To work and perform under pressure.
? To be able to work effectively and decisively within their remit.
? Excellent communication skills and to be able to clearly and concisely get their point across.
? The ability to influence at a senior level internally and externally.
