Quantity Surveyor on an LNG Project based in Leatherhead, 12 months +

 Quantity Surveyor on an LNG Project for an initial 12 month contract role that has an immediate start and a target limited company rate to man of circa £60.00 per hour.

The role will be based in Offices in Leatherhead. Hybrid working may be possible with two days remote.

The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment

 
About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor as part of the Integrated Solutions division to support a consultancy project in Leatherhead.  We are looking for an experienced person in the provision of Quantity Surveying to support the creation of an “ITB” and reviewing of bids on behalf of a client for EPFCmC works. This position will be responsible for the creation of relevant BOQ & QUR tables, progress payment terms and associated preambles.
The role will be based in our Leatherhead Campus on an average of 3 days per week, the rest of the time can be managed to suit your agile working needs subject to role requirements.

Objectives
  • To take responsibility for the delivery of professional assignments under the supervision of a senior member of staff
  • Support the Project Director/Owner with pre-contract tenders, negotiation and risk management activities
  • Preparation of Tender Documents comprising Preliminaries and Conditions of Contract for pricing by the contractors
  • Ownership of pre-contract activities including the development of scope, commercial and contractual sourcing strategies and the creation of request for bid documents.
  • Analysis and assessment of tender returns, production of Tender Reports including any necessary negotiations with contractor and adjustment to scope of works to achieve established budget
  • Development of post-tender recommendation for contract award reports

The Person
  • Relevant experience in the infrastructure, energy, hydrocarbon and petrochemical sectors
  • BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying (or similar, a 2:1 or higher preferred)
  • Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors, Institute of Cost Engineers, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or similar (preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong comprehension of the tendering and procurement processes
  • Presentable and articulate
  • Excellent organiser with proven time management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
