Mechanical Packaged Equipment Engineers x 3
£45 to £50 per hour depending on experience (please advise rate sought if you seek higher)
Responsible for the design, specification, selection, vendor drawing reviews, and testing services relating to oil and gas equipment including mechanical packages, special equipment, pressure vessels, and rotating machinery.
The minimum qualification requirements for this position are a first degree in Mechanical Engineering and a full professional qualification.
The required competency and skills would typically have been built up working for a consultant engineering company, equipment fabricator, machinery manufacturer, or end user company. Personnel would be expected to have a varied and extensive experience of mechanical equipment applications in the onshore and offshore oil and gas project environment to include concept, front end engineering design, detailed design, commissioning, and operations.
A specialist and detailed knowledge of the major packaged equipment types, to include skid mounted process and utility equipment, pumps, and pressure vessels. Field experience in the manufacturing, performance testing, commissioning, and trouble shooting of oil and gas equipment is desired. Also required is a working knowledge of industry standards for mechanical equipment.
Job success will depend on interpersonal skills and the effective interaction with others. Selected personnel will be highly competent in written and spoken communication and therefore be able to make effective presentations, and write technical reports.
