Senior Engineer, Offshore Structures
Basingstoke (Hybrid Working)
Client operates a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location and this 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, they expect a minimum of 60% home working to be available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.

Essential Skills
- Demonstrable experience in analyses and design of offshore structures.
- Ability to create and verify FEM models of fixed offshore structures, jacket and topside, in particular: experience in offshore platform design in accordance to
- ISO1900 series and API RP2A;
- In-place analyses (in-service, fatigue deterministic and
- stochastic, dynamic, seismic);
- Temporary conditions analyses (load-out, launch, lifting
- and upending, on-bottom);
- Design of foundation piles and mud mats;
- Detailed FEM analyses to evaluate peculiar aspects
- (impact analyses, blast analyses, damage condition,
- SCF of structural details not reported in the international code);
- General experience in offshore structural materials, fabrication and installation aspects;
- Knowledge of Eurocode 3 and AISC rules is also required
Desirable Skills
- Experience in structural design of floating platforms topsides (e.g. hull/FLNG/FPSO);
- Ability to perform Progressive Collapse and Push-over collapse analysis;
- Experience in Integrity Management and lifetime extension of offshore platforms;
- Experience in modelling local FEM 3D models; Experience in developing feasibility studies; Experience in definition and follow-up of tender documentation for offshore structures design;
- Ability to make critical choices and interact with internal and external stakeholders;
- Awareness of pipeline design standards requirements and correct application of Company HSEQ policies;
