Senior Engineer, Offshore Construction

Location: Basingstoke (Hybrid Working). After an initial period at the Basingstoke office and home working the role will move to the Point of Ayr site at Liverpool Bay (Cheshire/Welsh border) where the role will become more site orientated in the long term.

Client operates a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location and this 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, they expect a minimum of 60% home working to be available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.

Worker Status – PAYE / Umbrella

    • Developing construction strategies and schedules for offshore projects, during feasibility, FEED and execution phases.
    • Preparing construction manhour estimates from engineering quantities in accordance with Corporate procedures.
    • Preparing ITT document for EPCI contracts, including technical scopes of work.
    • Carrying out site surveys on both onshore and offshore facilities.
    • Providing discipline input into the engineering design at feasibility, FEED and detail design stages of projects.
    • Reviewing engineering documentation to provide discipline input and direction.
    • Facilitating and chairing construction review meetings/workshops in accordance with Corporate procedures, both internally and with Client teams.
    • Preparing and issuing constructability study review reports
    • Broad construction experience in offshore developments is required, including fixed legged jackets/topsides, FPSO s/FSU s. Offshore de-commissioning experience would be desirable.  Experience in promoting and applying HSEQ polices

  • Degree level qualification/HND
  • Experience as a construction engineer in the offshore and Oil and Gas industry is essential.  Onshore Construction experience in addition is desirable.
