Senior Engineer, Welding and NDT Specialist  

Basingstoke (Hybrid Working)

Client operates a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location and this 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, they expect a minimum of 60% home working to be available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.

Requirements:
 

• Reviewing and approve WPS proposed by the contractor - Certifying the PQR implemented by the contractor
• Verifying that all the welders/welding operators are certified in accordance to the
• Project specifications and international rules
• Verifying/certifying that all the welding consumables are certified by a Third-Party Body
• Construction site inspections
• Promptly alerting the development team in case of welding major problems - Dealing with the contractors to solve minor problems
• Helping the Manifold Site Representative in managing and resolve NCR and SQ relevant to the welding matters
• Responsible for technical quality of the performed welds proposing the mobilization of the specialists in case of needs
• Construction planning monitoring of the welding activities (schedule and compliance of work to project specifications).
• Reporting the construction progress and trends to the Manifold Site Representative
• Elaborate and propose recovery plan in case of delay
• Certifying the construction work progress to support the authorization for payments
• Supervising and coordinating the construction activities ensuring that the highest HSEQ standards are maintained throughout the project.
• Supporting the preparation of the necessary certificates to obtain the hand-over the Installation Contractor.

Qualification:

• Demonstrable experience in the Oil & Gas Industry in both onshore and/or offshore facilities.
• Good communication and attitude to work in team, problem solving and capability to work under pressure conditions that occurs during project execution phase
• Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English. –
