Project Control Lead on a Temporary 6 months Contract basis located in Woking, UK

Lead a team across the Project Control Department covering Planning, Cost Control, Document Management, Risk Management and Change Management. Overall responsibility for these departments and accountability to Project Manager for project status.
Analyze the project data and communicate the project performance to all stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Develop, maintain and be responsible for all systems and procedures for the project control department on the project covering Cost, Change, Risk, Planning and Document Management.
Prepare the project control plan in line with the project execution plan.
Provide input to the project start-up processes, establishing the necessary systems and basic work process for project execution and reporting.
Provide input to the project administration procedures.
To establish the project baseline and prepare project status reports in accordance with project execution and client requirements
Overall responsibility for the project planning and scheduling activities, to ensure the planning is in accordance with the client requirements through the application of appropriate processes, to understand the project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets using the project measurement system.
Prepare and maintain project schedules and monitor progress to achieve on time or earlier deliveries to keep the project on schedule.
Overall responsibility for the project cost control, directing the preparation and maintenance of project cost control status and review/verify cost control forecasts. Responsibility for managing contracts, costs and invoicing of in the region of £20 million per annum. Also responsible for subcontract and licensor costs in the region of £5 million per year, and responsible for change management potentially totalling over a million per year
Oversee and be responsible for the implementation of the project master schedule and monitor progress of the work, for timely execution of the project.
Oversee and be responsible for the development and management of the project progress measurement system, including project progress S curves, resource histograms and schedule analysis reports.
Anticipate and resolve any project control issues, bottlenecks or scheduling conflicts, preventing the timely delivery of the project.
Co-ordinate internal project team reviews followed by an approval and review by the client of the work schedule, progress measurement and reporting systems. Review status reports, modify schedules and plans as required and keep the management apprised of the progress on a regular basis.
Oversee and be responsible for the personnel assignment and authorisation process for the project management and client to assess and approve the project personnel in a controlled manner.
Oversee and be responsible for translation services, if required for the project.
Oversee and be responsible for the input to the project risk management process for the project.
Oversee and be responsible for the document control process for the project.
In conjunction with the Project Manager, establish the project WBS, job-specific code of accounts, project progress monitoring and control, and document control processes, forming the basis for detailed level project control and reporting.
To take account for, prepare, review and issue overall client and Petrofac management reports.
To establish and maintain a trend and change control system. Be fully accountable for ensure proper evaluation of change notices, determining cost and schedule impact on all affected areas.
To lead and be accountable for the project monitoring, analysis and forecasting functions. Devise and distribute plans, budgets and standards of performance for every area of activity and through early detection of variations, maximise the opportunity for cost effective corrective action.
To prepare and make presentations to project teams and client on project control methodologies and procedures used by Petrofac.
To support Sales and Proposal groups in the preparation of proposals. Responsible for commercial support to projects including pricing of proposals totalling up to 10 million per annum. Responsible for input to manhour estimates on proposals, requiring mitigation of risk but ability to accurate estimate to ensure Petrofac can submit a competitive price

Batchelors degree relevant subject such as Engineering or Business
Experience in leading a project control team on other projects
FEED project Experience
The ability to manage others across multiple Project Control disciplines
The ability to communicate with clients and internal management on the status of the project
