DECOMMISSIONING PROJECT MANAGER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac’s ‘The Lifesaving Rules’.

- Management/coordination of Petrofac’s inhouse Engineering and Operations Services capability (projects/well engineering/operations/subsea) as well as coordinating key subcontractor partners in delivery of integrated decommissioning projects.
- Provide technical/project leadership in support of service delivery.
- Responsible for Petrofac project teams’ planning and executing projects in adherence with documented systems and practices.
- Support building a strong and loyal team culture within and between Project Teams and subcontracting partners.
- Oversight and governance of allocated local and global project portfolio
- Lead the set up new projects, definition of resource requirements, project start up and execution in line with client commitments.
- Lead the execution of integrated decommissioning projects in key regions, inclusive of travel to scope location as required, ensuring that Petrofac internal business targets are achieved
- Ensure that service is delivered with a clear focus on Quality and in a way that meets HSE requirements.
- Responsible for driving adherence to project cost and schedule commitments holding each work stream accountable to deliver.
- Manage/Coordinate and work closely with Petrofac Project management support function (cost/planning/commercial/information management)
- Responsible for the management of; project interfaces; project risk; weekly project reporting & monthly project reporting inclusive of cost and schedule information.
- Support adherence to gated project execution methodology/strategy in the delivery of all project scopes.
- Interface with Client and Petrofac management (cross service line) in delivery of integrated Decommissioning Projects.
- Drive focus on delivery client value and enhancing internal margins on live project scope.
- Active participation in key planning milestones, e.g. Risk Assessments, HAZOPs and HAZIDs.
- Support business development activities to grow the business. This will involve significant input/coordination of tender preparation.
- Actively ensure Lessons Learned are communicated through all project teams
- Drive use of and implementation of Turus and associated updates / upgrades within team.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Extensive oil and gas industry experience, covering broad range of job functions in project management, subsea, operations, wells and decommissioning.
- Knowledge and working experience of managing operational/project teams and gaining support from operations teams, with strong preference for direct operator experience.
- Proven track record in managing multiple stakeholders in project execution including project controls; operations; subsea; asset management; sub-contractors.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline.
- In depth knowledge of UKCS/US regulatory regime in relation to Decommissioning and Operations.
- Highly developed leadership and influencing skills.
- Strong track record in delivering on project commitments.
- Ability to develop strong professional relationships with client, partners, and internal customers/peers.
- Track record of successfully developing, leading, and managing professional technical staff.
- Proven track record in HSE Leadership.
