MATERIALS CONSULTANT - LNG Agency - 12 months min - Basingstoke (hybrid working )

A Materials Engineering Consultant is required to be part of a new LNG expert group being established in Basingstoke, UK to support Company expansion in new LNG projects.
Supporting review and monitoring of currently ongoing EPC projects for new floating LNG facilities and design of new on and offshore LNG facilities.
The candidate’s responsibilities will include the following:
- development of engineering documents for material selection
and corrosion control
- material and fabrication requirements for cryogenic service
- ITT preparation for material supplies & installation contracts
- tender evaluation of bids and alignment
- Follow-up of suppliers, contractors and installation, including
but not limited to document review and approval, qualification
and supervisions, troubleshooting, etc.
- analysis and resolution of manufacturing and fabrication
anomalies, non-conformance, etc.
Candidate must be highly experienced in LNG design and conversant with the main LNG materials of construction and the relevant requirements including manufacturing and fabrication as well as (metallurgy, corrosion, welding, coating, cathodic protection).
Significant previous project experiences in Feasibility / Basic / FEED or detail engineering projects for LNG facilities, preferably as engineering discipline Lead.
Degree / Masters of Mechanical or Materials Engineering. Member of a relevant Institution, Preferred Chartered Eng.
Preference for NACE members
Significant experience of operation within a LNG facility would be a major advantage for this position.
Conversant with applicable ISO, API standards and Oil & Gas standard practices.
Previous experience on Eni projects and familiarity with Eni tools and standards would represent a significant advantage for this position.
