As a member of the engineering team at you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining full familiarity with company policies, directives and procedures and suggest improvements to project planning methods, procedures, and practices to Department Chief.
- Creating project specific planning procedures where necessary and ensure procedures are followed by all members of the planning team.
- Assisting in preparation of proposals and make presentations to clients as directed by the Department Chief.
- Maintaining full familiarity with all relevant software applications associated with planning (including relevant parts of the EDMS and SAP if required).
- Providing supervision, advice and guidance to other planning engineers on matters of a planning nature as appropriate to assigned position.
- Ensuring that the project planning network is set-up in such a way that it can exchange information with the Electronic Document Management System and SAP if required.
- Maintaining familiarity of allocated manhours for planning activities and number of manhours used to date. Advise Department Chief of future manpower requirements making every effort to stay within budget.
- Liaising with Document Controller on the set-up of the EDMS. Ensure that system is set up and used in such a way that it properly co-ordinates with the relevant planning systems.
