EniProgetti UK operates a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location and these 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.

Role Overview
A Principal Subsea System Integration engineer is required to support Eni’s worldwide offshore deepwater projects. They will be part of the Eni project engineering group based in Basingstoke (UK) and will support all the engineering activities related to subsea architecture development, interfaces definition, ensuring overall technical integrity, fluid deliverability and operability of the subsea system. He/she will support the Company team in the different phases of the project, from feasibility to Basic/FEED and along the execution phase for the several new upcoming or ongoing initiatives within Eni group.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
  • To study and optimize the development concept of subsea, deepwater and ultra-deepwater projects with particular focus on production fluid deliverability and system operation.
  • To define the subsea development scheme at system level and component level.
  • To review and approve the design performed by a Third-Party Contractor (including specifications, reports, calculation notes, analyses, drawings, datasheets, technical notes) of a deepwater system such as subsea production systems, riser flowline and umbilical system, ensuring that project objectives, industry standards and best practices for safety, reliability and cost are met. 
  • To monitor the Third-Party Contractor performance.
  • To assist Company in R&D initiative with particular focus to architecture optimisation for subsea field development and implementation of new technologies like seabed processing (i.e. separation, pumping, compression).
  • To assist Company in development projects and in coordinating subsea specialists during feasibility, basic/FEED, detail engineering. 
  • To prepare documentation to support tender phase for SPS, Umbilical and R&F work packages.
  • To assist Company in definition and management of interfaces between different subsea system work packages.
  • To be involved in subsea project design review.
  • To ensure the performance, installability and operability of the subsea systems.
  • To select the best technical/economical solutions for the subsea system architecture, ensuring overall technical integrity. 
  • To understand Client needs, identify and address problems; to propose, develop, and implement solutions.
  • To be responsible for the Subsea System Integration activities within the Subsea Systems department
  • To ensure consistency, quality, and cost effectiveness of the project design, in compliance with International Standards, Project Specifications, Company guidelines and engineering best practices.
  • Teamwork and collaboration with other colleagues in the Subsea Systems department, as well as with other disciplines.
  • To liaise with other disciplines during Project execution phase.
 
Knowledge and Experience
  • Extensive experience as a Subsea System Integration Engineer throughout the various phases of project development (from concept development to execution) and handover to operations.
  • Good knowledge of subsea industry standards.
  • Knowledge of topsides and subsea interfaces.
  • Knowledge and experience with riser and flowline systems design.
  • Experience in preparing, reviewing and commenting subsea system design and other related documentation (i.e. specifications, SoW, procedures, reports, drawings...).
  • Competency in process simulation and multiphase transportation software codes.
  • Knowledge and experience with construction & installation activities: FAT testing, integration testing, offshore installation supervision, plant construction, inspection, control and testing techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience with offshore structures design, geotechnical & geophysical survey.
  • Feed-back development and diffusion, technical audit, and Design Review.
  • Compliance: Local/National and International Standards and Codes, Health, Safety, Environment, Quality.
  • Project Management: Risk Management.
  • Proficient usage of the Office Software (MS Office).
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCad.
  • Significant experience in follow-up of Subsea Production System detailed engineering, fabrication, testing, installation, and start-up would be a major advantage for this position.
Qualifications
  • Minimum BS Degree in Engineering discipline. 
  • Demonstrable experience in the Oil and Gas Industry with respect to subsea system and network engineering from preliminary engineering through detailed design.
